Lore The greatest, and perhaps most dangerous, goal of the Weaver Courts is their dream to make Ea a paradise, a dream realm where all strands of life work in perfect harmony together. The awakening of the Whisper has heralded a new age in this regard, but long before this sentience emerged, the Will o’Wisps danced through the glades and bogs of the Faerann. Not sentient, but clearly with purpose, these beings are understood to protect the forest. When danger arrives, they swarm to it, their coiling tentacles and noxious vapors hindering the foe while leaving the weavers entirely untroubled, much like they knew what the foreign body is, and who their allies are. How they play Will O’ Wisps are not combatants themselves – they are a beautiful, glistening visage that lures the enemy closer, only for them to realize too late the keen sharpshooters taking aim from behind. Long lines of these night flyers have been life-bound to the weavers for so long, they are now an inseparable part of their society. The tangled terrain and verticality of the Weaver Domains lends itself to flying mounts. Their delicate bodies do not lend themselves well to the rigors of combat, but the Weavers have compensated for this, arming their riders with ranged weapons. The Skiathan Riders go to combat armed with cunningly wrought arbalests they can fire while on the wing, harrying the foe without exposing themselves to danger. The Ciannir Riders on the other hand hurl noxious pods of awakened seeds on the foe, equipped to protect themselves from the inevitable fumble as they cast their deadly cargo with the aid of the curved gloves deep into the ranks of the enemy. How they play:   Where Sciathan Riders capitalize on Seeds, the Ciannir are the precision tool that applies them. Lore: Every Cathedral, Basilica and place of worship of note in the Old Dominion was built by the forefathers of the Tectons with full awareness on the nature of Divinity and the power of Belief. Deep in the bowels of each of these buildings existed a spark of Divinity, held in abeyance until such time as the Pantheon needed a source of power, or a new Divinity. It was in this vulnerable, embryonic stage that many seeds of Divinity were exposed to the baleful energies of the UnGod after the Fall. Now little more than mewling masses of unrequited necromantic potential, these baleful entities are bound to their places of worship. To overcome this limitation, the Final Creed has learnt to pare away the construction, reducing it in size until the unborn godling trapped within is capable of dragging it. Lore: Following the Fall and the Theomachy, a number of Fallen Divinities managed to establish their independence from Hazlia, their once powerless husks bathing in the power that floods from the Pyre to regain a small fraction of their previous might.
