4Ground and Great Escape Games present the "Feature Buildings" for the Dead Man's Hand Old West building range.  This kit includes pre-painted parts with high levels of internal and external detailing.  Most walls, external and internal, in 4Ground kits, are double skinned for strength and to enable detailing inside and out of the model.   The roof can be removed for easy in-game access, all windows have acetate and all doors are working.Preacher Samuel Johnson was born in Connecticut in 1847 raised by his Methodist parents and, filled with the divine spirit, he became a preacher in 1865 without being appointed by any church to do so.  Again inspired by the Lord in 1876, he knew he had to travel west ministering as he went.Preacher Johnson was inspired to head for the town of Dead Man’s Hand and on May 8th 1876 held his first service while walking on foot towards the town.  That service was held with 30 men and five women in attendance. On May 11th they safely arrived in the town, without once being threatened by road agents or Indians.Preacher Johnson started his life in the town by working odd jobs during the week, while every Sunday he was on Main Street preaching.  As the population of Dead Man’s Hand grew so did Johnson’s flock and, thanks to the good Christian folk such as Albert Miller and Christopher Caldwell, in 1879 his congregation had built the first chapel in Dead Man’s Hand.Now the Preacher Johnson’s chapel is known as ‘the church’ and most folks know of him as Reverend Johnson, he still holds his church services every Sunday where he preaches about the inequity and vileness of some of Dead Man’s Hand prominent residents, the likes of Stuart Wheatley and ‘Slick’ Dan Pottinger to name but two.  If he keeps upsetting the wrong people the rumour going round is that someone may find him on the road killed by ‘Indians’ very soon! The buildings pictured have had nothing added except for the PVA/wood glue used during construction of the kit. Miniatures not included.

A set of three riderless horses, perfect for placing around town. Each horse has a saddle and equipment on it, there are three different types, although only two are shown in the picture, the third is currently at the black smiths getting new shoes! Models may vary from those pictured, we will always try to provide three different horses but sometimes there may be a duplicate. As an early settler when this town was still called a camp, Jim Rogan staked an ideal corner location for his bar.  Bars at this time were simple affairs without the adult entertainment to be found in saloons but in the right location they could still turn a coin. Unfortunately within two years Jim had died, found on the road 10 miles outside of town he had been shot 7 times (6 with point blank powder burns).  But if it was a rival bar or saloon owner who wanted Rogan's bar gone they didn't count on Cathie Rogan taking the bar on after her father's murder.  Cat' is still making good money and has plans to add a bunk rooms above her bar for passing travellers that are looking for a clean bed at a fair price, and if it's beer, cards or whisky they want they know where to find it.

Once in a while things’ll get so bad around town that the folks have just had enough. Sometimes the law helps, other times the folks in town are brought together by something else entirely.  The Stranger came into town and shook everything up.  Short on words, he let his pistols do the talking, and when they spoke they sang a song of death. Nobody knew his name when he came or when he left, they just knew that the streets were safer and the cemetery held a few more corpses.
