Dirty Down Yellow Rust Effect is a water-based weathering paint designed to create realistic fresh, oxidised rust tones on miniatures, terrain and props. Where classic rust effects lean dark and old, Yellow Rust focuses on newer corrosion, sulphur tones and oxidised metal highlights, making it ideal for layered weathering.
Perfect for tabletop miniatures, wargames terrain, scale models and dioramas where you want convincing, high-contrast rust with minimal effort.
Usage
- Apply with a brush, sponge or stippling tool
- Can be dabbed, dragged or layered over darker rust effects
- Dries with natural texture and colour variation
- Works best on matte surfaces
- Can be thinned with water for subtle effects or glazing
- For best results, combine with Dirty Down Rust Effect for depth and realism
Suitable for use on plastic, resin, metal, MDF and painted surfaces.
