Built at the English Electric Works in Preston, ‘B for Bertie’ came off the production line just like any other Mk I automaton. However, it was during its initial deployment as part of Operation Cavalier, near Antwerp, Belgium, that it could be said that Bertie was born. On 9 June 1946, a contingent of Axis heavy Panzermechs ambushed Bertie's formation. In the chaos of battle; Bertie was lost to sight from its human charges. When the ambush had been repelled, after significant losses, and the Axis forces melted away, so too had Bertie disappeared. The unit was presumed KIA, but this was not so. Low on power, Bertie had sluggishly dragged itself back to the battlefield, but its detachment had long since moved on. Rather than simply wither away patiently, its primitive automated system adapted, and Bertie became something other than a simple factory-made automaton. Looting the battlefield of fallen automatons, it replaced its defunct leg, collected power cells, took ammo and weapons, and set off on a new odyssey. Box contains one plastic miniature, supplied with plastic base and assembly guide.

The advanced research into automated systems has yielded results at an entirely unexpected rate, such that production is hardly able to keep pace with new designs coming out of Bletchley Park. In less than a year from the first deployment of Mk I Automated Infantry in Belgium, entirely automated platoons are now increasingly independently organised and commanded by automated platoon commanders. These ‘Automated Directors’ are based on the Mk II Design, with improved computational and radio systems enabling them to distribute orders to other automated units over a wider radius. The advantages of fully automated platoons are numerous; the avoidance of British human casualties and immunity to ever more deleterious psychological effects on the battlefields amongst them. However, Automated Directors lack the imagination of human commanders, and are somewhat limited to enacting the tactics and orders pre-programmed into their systems prior to battle by dedicated British engineers. Box contains one plastic miniature, supplied with plastic base and assembly guide.

The humble British infantryman is being increasingly supplanted by the Automated Infantrymen. These stolid, code-driven mechanical soldiers can be slow to adapt on the battlefield, but are utterly implacable in advance and resolute in defence. As the war drags on, the boffins at Bletchley park are churning out ever more sophisticated designs, capable of executing increasingly complex battlefield orders, and wielding equally more complex and heavier weapons, turning the tide against Axis horrors. Such is the rate of advancement of automated research that dedicated automated platoons are now being deployed to the battlefields, devoid of any human presence, and able to carry out prescribed orders entirely independently. Created from a fusion of Rift-tech advancements and early artificial intelligence principles, these man-shaped fighting machines are designed to bring both firepower and resilience to the battlefield. Multiple internal programme wheels allow them to support human forces in a variety of battlefield situations, operating effectively in any terrain or climate. While they lack the manoeuvrability of human soldiers their robust construction allows them to withstand considerable damage. Equipped with Medium or Heavy Machine Guns, they can engage enemies with significant firepower, although their limited computational power necessitates their instructions be simple, and operations swift. Most importantly, on the horror-haunted battlefields of this war these automatons are immune to fear and fatigue. While initially treated with distrust by regular soldiers, the ‘Tinheads' have now earned their respect, especially when facing the enemy’s genetically altered monstrosities. Box contains 10 plastic miniatures, which can be equipped with either MMGs or HMGs; supplied with plastic bases and assembly guide.

Nog 3 op voorraad Binnen 2 dgn verzonden

A graduate in physics, the emergence of the Los Alamos Rift at the Trinity test site led to Roberta dedicating herself to the study of Rift Energy. The deployment of Axis Rift horrors, in particular the dread Totenkorps, in late 1944, led to her volunteering to ship out to the European theatre to conduct studies of the application of Rift-tech in warfare. Despite numerous objections from the US Army, her request was eventually granted. Her no-nonsense approach, resilience to the psychological horrors of the Rift War, and willingness to get stuck in marked her out amongst the raft of scientific advisors seconded to the front. Exhibiting a fierce independence, Roberta would often strike out separately from the squad to which she was attached, lest they constrain her in the pursuit of her studies. Nevertheless, she gradually earned the respect of the US Army soldiers entrusted with her safety in the field, having displayed a remarkable aptitude for combat situations. Roberta is considered the United States’ best hope in assessing the Dresden Rift in the goal of safely controlling or neutralising it, and has returned to the front line in 1947, attached to 109th Airborne Division bound for Dresden. As a high value asset, she has been granted the use of prototype armour designed specifically for use with the Firefly jump pack. Of course she has already begun to make her own modifications… Box contains one Warlord Resin miniature, with plastic base. Models supplied unassembled and unpainted

Albrecht von Zögling is the Axis’ custodian of the Totenkorps programme, and a long-term member of the Grünes Gewölbe. His obsession with the dead led to years spent studying the texts of the Green Vault’s library, and visiting sites of battle or massacre whenever he could, where he would collect corpses to experiment on, earning him the whispered moniker of ‘Der Erntemann’ or ‘The Harvestman’. On 12 March 1944, the bomb was dropped on Dresden, and von Zögling’s dreams were fully realised. Approximately half a million dead now wandered its ruins, and a seemingly perpetual source of Rift Energy was now available to him. The secrets of the Rift have provided von Zögling with the means of reanimating the dead on a scale even undreamt of by him, and he soon developed the serum that would supplant the crude power packs initially used to reanimate the recently deceased, one that could be injected directly into a corpse and have it walking again in mere seconds. Unlike many of his understudies, von Zögling is not content to sit back and observe the fruits of his labour from a distance, and makes it a habit to stalk battlefields in search of prime material for further experimentation. Ever concerned with the effects of wounds upon the human anatomy, he has become quite adept at inflicting them himself, having trained himself over the years to become a proficient marksman, and equally skilled with a blade, and whenever the opportunity presents itself, he will personally lead his personal Totenrotte to witness the glories of his creations in action, wearing a personalised battle harness sufficient to carry an array of medical gear, as well as a supply of serum to augment his Totenkorps legions on the fly. The development of a new serum solution by the enigmatic Oberstarzt Albrecht von Zögling, also required the development of a machine to effectively distribute it amongst the freshly dead. The ultimate design, dubbed the Nachtzehrer (named after the creatures of folklore; revenants said to drag the living to the realm of death), is reminiscent of a hermit crab; it consists of a small crew compartment within which scientists can operate external instruments without exposure, married to an armoured, temperature-controlled canister which houses the highly volatile serum. Large, bladelike forearms inject the serum directly into subject corpses with abject efficiency, and are themselves equally capable of striking down the living, to immediately convert into the walking dead. This plastic kit also allows you to make the Sd.Kfz.501/4 Infernospinne, which trades the serum housed in its cannister for napalm, and its medical implements for powerful flamethrowers, more potent than its Flammenspinne cousin, though slightly les nimble and somewhat more volatile. The Totenkorps were the first examples of Rift-derived forces encountered by the Allies and Soviets. Immune to pain and fear, they swamp their foes through sheer relentlessness and inhuman resilience. As such the Totenkorps are mostly employed as terror troops, soaking up enemy fire before closing and engaging in brutal close quarters combat. Even defeated Totenkorps can rise again, potentially many times, before being finally laid to rest. Their decayed forms invariably spread fear on the battlefield, making them a profound threat to even the most hardened enemy combatants. The initial Totenkorps originated from the dead caught in the vicinity of the opening of the Dresden Rift. In the years since, enigmatic Axis scientist Albrecht von Zögling has perfected a process to replicate the effects on the freshly deceased, and developed the Sd.Kfz. Nachtzehrer, a terrifying machine that can apply his serum to the dead of the enemy on the battlefield itself, so that be immediately employed against their erstwhile allies. The plastic Totenkorps sprue features reanimated soldiers in varying types of uniform taken from the dead of both the Axis and the United States, including a US Firefly and an Axis Schwertruppen! Box contains enough parts to make 30 plastic Totenkorps, plastic bases, and assembly guide. Models supplied unassembled and unpainted

A Totenrotte is an Axis military formation comprised of the walking dead. Initially the Totenrotten had the simple directive of deploying Totenkorps amongst enemy lines, sowing physical and psychological chaos amongst the enemy throughout Europe. However, with newly emergent technology originating from the minds of Axis scientists, led by the research of Albrecht von Zögling, which replicates the effects of the Dresden Rift on the newly dead, the operations of the Totenrotten have greatly expanded in a sinister new direction – recruitment. The Totenrotten now incorporate the Sd.Kfz. 501/1 Nachtzehrer, armoured walkers which can apply von Zögling’s serum on the battlefield itself, and immediately redeploy the newly dead against their former comrades in arms. They are unnaturally fast, with heightened reflexes and unlike other Axis Rift troops carry weapons and fight more like conventional infantry, though they have displayed a limited ability to temporarily shape-shift. The success of the Type 6 armed with the Light Shiboru Cannon led to the development of the Type 7. This improved on the previous design by incorporating an elongated chassis, leaving the crew less cramped, and a pair of front-mounted ‘claws’ equally useful for cutting through dense undergrowth as they are swatting away enemy infantry or even other light vehicles. An articulated tail purpose built for the Type 61 Light Shiboru Cannon was also fitted, affording the gunner much more control when gun laying. Given the Type 7’s even more apparent resemblance to an arachnid than its forerunner, and the addition of the tail sting, this inevitably resulted in the walker being named the Sasori (‘Scorpion’). Once the United States Armed forces had received the M8 Grizzly medium walker in sufficient numbers, excess production was diverted to the Commonwealth under the lend-lease scheme. By this time, research into equipping Commonwealth vehicles, including walkers, with automated assistance systems was well underway. Rather than being pressed into service, the entire shipment was diverted to Bovington for study. The Commonwealth had become nervous that relying entirely on the US to provide walkers left it too dependent on a foreign supplier, particularly with the growing cracks in the two nations' relationship. It was therefore urgent for the Commonwealth to be able to design and build its own examples. The result was the Percival, a distinct design from the Grizzly, owing to the need to incorporate the latest automated systems and a sufficient power plant for the Commonwealth’s new iteration of the Tesla cannon. The elite infantry organisations of the Commonwealth armed forces wear Galahad pattern heavy powered armour. In keeping with US Heavy Infantry doctrine and in contrast to the Axis Schwertruppen, Galahad units are kept small to allow for greater flexibility in deployment to the battlefield. The basic armament of a light machine gun for every soldier is felt to provide adequate firepower, although PRIAM ATRDs are equipped by squads operating where enemy armour is anticipated. The deployment of USMC Grizzly medium walkers to the Pacific posed a serious tactical problem for the Japanese. Developing a similar medium walker to counter it entirely from scratch would be too time-consuming. Again, the Imperial leadership turned to their (then) Axis allies who offered to export a limited number of the Pz.Kpfg. VII Heuschrecke stripped of its gravitic jump assist modules. On inspection of the first units to arrive in Japan the Imperial military discovered that the missing weight of the modules actually benefited the walker’s speed and agility, making it ideal for both general combat and reconnaissance duties. Recently, Japanese reverse-engineering of Axis-supplied components has allowed a fully Imperial-built version of the Locust, the ‘Inago’, to be produced in the Home islands. Despite the successes of the Kazak light walker, Soviet forces experienced significant losses from every encounter with Axis heavy Panzer walkers. A swift countermeasure was necessary. The OKMO design bureau at the Bolshevik Factory in Leningrad was assigned the task of developing Objekt 231. a heavy multi-legged walker chassis derived from the Axis' Thor. Rather than opting for the Axis' complex sixlegged designs or the Allies' technically challenging biped configurations, OKMO produced a more straightforward and reliable quadruped chassis. Originally conceived as a mobile bunker, the designers revisited a multi-turret concept from OKMO’s titanic 1930s T-35 tank. Contains one resin and metal miniature. The Merlin represents the pinnacle of Commonwealth walker design by complementing its human crews with an onboard automated management 'brain' called Guinevere. In addition to its two fists, the Merlin utilises a 3” anti-tank gun as its main weapon. Arm mounted twin .50cal heavy machine guns and a hull-mounted medium machine gun are effective for dealing with infantry and light vehicles. However, it is the Guinevere automatic brain that makes the Merlin unique. It assists the crew in performing routine and mundane tasks operating the walker, but in battle it really comes into its own. The Merlin incorporates several complex self-repair systems controlled by Guinevere. Reacting faster than any human, it responds to damaging hits by activating backup systems, rerouting power or hydraulics and extinguishing fires before they can spread. Should the crew become temporarily incapacitated Guinevere can even pilot the walker for a short time. The Merlin is a truly remarkable design that has taken Allied walker capabilities to a new level. Contains one resin and metal miniature. Models supplied unassembled and unpainted

The Guardian light walker had originally proved adequate in supporting the infantry in urban environments and difficult terrain, but it began to struggle as Axis anti-walker techniques improved. Although impressed by the capabilities of the new US Kodiak close assault walker the Commonwealth decided to instead field one of its own modern designs in this role. When the Hornet was unveiled for the first time, it was immediately apparent that the design owed much to the US Grizzly sharing an almost identical chassis. The Hornet is considerably larger and better armoured than the Guardian, and much like the Kodiak it mounts an array of weaponry. Its quad-HMGs and heavy automatic cannon are more than capable of suppressing dug-in infantry and vehicles. Its utility arms can clear obstacles, build improvised defences and rip apart light vehicles. As it lacks dedicated anti-armour capability, Hornet formations usually include a Percival to deal with armoured threats. Contains one resin and metal miniature. After a personal request from Churchill to Roosevelt a number of Coyote light walkers were shipped to the United Kingdom in late 1946.Many were immediately deployed to the frontlines unmodified as the Guardian Mark I. While generally proving successful, reports from the field concluded that the Guardian's armament was lacking for its intended role as an infantry support vehicle. To address this a flamethrower was mounted in the walker’s left arm. Despite the added weight, performance was not affected. Named the Guardian Mark II in Commonwealth service, these machines serve alongside unmodified Guardian Mark Is, forming the bulk of the Commonwealth’s light walker forces. Strike from the shadows! The Empire of Japan uses the power of stealth, the capability to phase through solid objects, and fanatical devotion to their cause to launch co-ordinated close-quarters attacks before fading away just as quickly as they had appeared. This starter army is the perfect way to start your Empire of Japan collection for Konflikt ’47, arming you with an array of units, complete with Order and Rift Dice. At the core of the starter army is an Assault Platoon. Led by an LMG-armed Platoon Commander in heavy powered armour (sculpt exclusive to this set), the platoon is anchored by a unit of Assault-Frame armoured infantry and a Ghost Attack Squad, capable of redeploying anywhere on the battlefield by exhausting a Rift Die, and bringing their Shiboru rifles to bear on an unsuspecting target! A Sasori Light Walker lends its support at the head of an Armoured Platoon, supplemented by a Chi-Ha tank that has been reequipped with a Shiboru Cannon of its own. The combined weight of all the Crush weapons available across both platoons should give any tabletop foe cause for concern. Konflikt '47 is the game of heroes, horrors, monsters, and mechs, putting you in command of the nightmarish struggle for supremacy as the old world is torn apart and remade in blood and crackling energy. This starter army is the perfect way to begin a British Commonwealth collection for Konflikt ’47, arming you with a battle-ready force complete with Order and Rift Dice. Both units are immune to the psychological horrors of war and are implacable in the face of defeat. They are well supported by a power-armoured squad of human Galahad infantry. A Platoon Commander, exclusive to this set, leads this platoon from the front, armed with a personal Tesla Rifle. Backing them up is an Armoured Platoon, headed up by the new Percival Assault Walker.
