Albrecht von Zögling is the Axis’ custodian of the Totenkorps programme, and a long-term member of the Grünes Gewölbe. His obsession with the dead led to years spent studying the texts of the Green Vault’s library, and visiting sites of battle or massacre whenever he could, where he would collect corpses to experiment on, earning him the whispered moniker of ‘Der Erntemann’ or ‘The Harvestman’. On 12 March 1944, the bomb was dropped on Dresden, and von Zögling’s dreams were fully realised. Approximately half a million dead now wandered its ruins, and a seemingly perpetual source of Rift Energy was now available to him. The secrets of the Rift have provided von Zögling with the means of reanimating the dead on a scale even undreamt of by him, and he soon developed the serum that would supplant the crude power packs initially used to reanimate the recently deceased, one that could be injected directly into a corpse and have it walking again in mere seconds. Unlike many of his understudies, von Zögling is not content to sit back and observe the fruits of his labour from a distance, and makes it a habit to stalk battlefields in search of prime material for further experimentation. Ever concerned with the effects of wounds upon the human anatomy, he has become quite adept at inflicting them himself, having trained himself over the years to become a proficient marksman, and equally skilled with a blade, and whenever the opportunity presents itself, he will personally lead his personal Totenrotte to witness the glories of his creations in action, wearing a personalised battle harness sufficient to carry an array of medical gear, as well as a supply of serum to augment his Totenkorps legions on the fly. Combining the body of a gigantic human with the head of a bull, a minotaur is a fearsome beast. Generally, these creatures inhabit dungeons or underground caves where their unerring sense of direction allows them to sneak up on their foes and dispatch them with a single bull-rush. A new iteration of automated infantry now supports the more numerous, and vastly cheaper to produce, Mk Is. By necessity larger in order to house more sophisticated computational systems, they are also rendered capable of carrying far heavier armaments, such as specially designed automatic cannons. Capable of acting with more autonomy than the earlier designs, they have a limited operational independence. With their embedded short-range radio device, they are also able to transmit their computational data to other automatons within a limited range. Efforts were quickly made to upgrade the Mk I design with receivers. By staying within close proximity the MK IIs can relay their own calculations to the Mk Is, and thus improve their accuracy and ability to execute more complex commands. Created from a fusion of Rift-tech advancements and early artificial intelligence principles, these man-shaped fighting machines are designed to bring both firepower and resilience to the battlefield. Multiple internal Programme wheels allow them to support human forces in a variety of battlefield situations, operating effectively in any terrain or climate. While they lack the manoeuvrability of human soldiers their robust construction allows them to withstand considerable damage. Equipped with MMG or HMGs, they can engage enemies with significant firepower, although their limited computational power necessitates their instructions be simple, and operations swift. Most importantly, on the horror-haunted battlefields of this war these automatons are immune to fear and fatigue. While initially treated with distrust by regular soldiers, the ‘Tinheads' have now earned their respect, especially when facing the enemy’s genetically altered monstrosities. Set of three metal civilian models to populate your town and get gunned down in the crossfire!. Models supplied unpainted. As an early settler when this town was still called a camp, Jim Rogan staked an ideal corner location for his bar.  Bars at this time were simple affairs without the adult entertainment to be found in saloons but in the right location they could still turn a coin. Unfortunately within two years Jim had died, found on the road 10 miles outside of town he had been shot 7 times (6 with point blank powder burns).  But if it was a rival bar or saloon owner who wanted Rogan's bar gone they didn't count on Cathie Rogan taking the bar on after her father's murder.  Cat' is still making good money and has plans to add a bunk rooms above her bar for passing travellers that are looking for a clean bed at a fair price, and if it's beer, cards or whisky they want they know where to find it.

The Vogelspinne scuttles across the battlefield on six legs, bringing to bear a variety of deadly weapons that can be turned to any task. The Panzerkampfgeher II Vogelspinne started life as an improved 'heavy' variant developed from the Spinne by adding an extra pair of legs to reduce the wear on individual bearings that plagued the earlier design. The added complication of the drivetrain and gyroscopes necessitated lengthening the hull substantially and the project was dubbed the Pz.Kpfg. II Vogelspinne instead. The Vogelspinne retains the light anti-tank gun and 20mm autocannon weaponry of the Spinne but in a fully-enclosed, armoured turret. Provision has also been made to mount a Rift-powered Maschinen Schwere gravity weapon, or a twin light flak cannon mounting. The Vogelspinne kit can be assembled with a number of weapon configurations, so you can tailor it to the battlefield role you need and your specific playstyle – choose from an Anti-tank Gun, Twin Automatic Cannons, a Flamethrower, or the Maschinen Schwere gravity pulse weapon, which can be equally devastating against infantry or enemy vehicles if you make careful use of Rift Dice. The kit also includes a Vehicle Commander, but can be built with the turret hatch closed should you wish. This versatility of armament serves the Vogelspinne way when building a Konflikt ’47 Axis Army. With three pairs of legs, and the Recce special rule, it’ll have a hard time getting caught out too. Fleshless bones held together by arcane energies encased in the remnants of ancient armour, these loyal soldiers of the Empire still march and fight on their centurion’s command. Like all skeletons, these creatures are difficult to destroy with firearms, as the balls tend to pass straight through, or clip off bones without causing significant damage. They must either be smashed apart by hand or their arcane energies dissipated by enchanted weapons. The might of Rome came not from superior weapons or armour, but from organisation. The Roman centurions ensured that the legionaries under their command held their formations in battle. Nearly two thousand years later, these fleshless warriors still lead their troops into battle. Stronger and tougher than a normal Roman legionary skeleton, these leaders act as arcane energy nodes, fuelling their troops to greater feats. If one of these creatures appears on the battlefield, it is best to deal with them first, for their demise will weaken all the others. Five 28mm sized metal figures, supplied unpainted. One of the most feared forms of undead found within the British shores, the Norman ghost knight is a spectral cavalryman who happily charges through walls to ride down its prey. Impossible to dismount and immune to all forms of damage, except those inflicted by salt, these ghosts are fearsome enemies. Silver Bayonet units are generally instructed not to engage with these spirits unless absolutely necessary. One 28mm sized metal model. Supplied unassembled and unpainted. You need to provide your own lance, either made from wire or use a North Star plastic spear.

Although the soldiers of the specialist units are ultimately fighting for the safety of everyone, they generally find civilians to be a nuisance at the best of times and a dangerous, chaotic element when they wander into a battle. The Cromwell tank, officially designated as the Tank, Cruiser, A27M, has proven to be one of the most successful Commonwealth armoured vehicles. Developed as a cruiser tank, it prioritized a balance of speed, firepower, and manoeuvrability, embodying the Commonwealth doctrine of using 'cavalry' tanks for rapid, mobile warfare with direct support for troops provided by slower 'infantry' tanks. Originally armed with a 75mm gun, many Cromwells have been retrofitted with a Tesla cannon to make it relevant in the new era of warfare.
