The weapons themselves are a marvel of engineering which nobody but the Dweghom could hope to match, the chariot bodies are crafted of sturdy wood and sheathed metal to keep both rider and weapon from harm… The lions are there simply to proclaim the wealth and power of their patrons.How they Play: Fast moving mobile ranged platforms, these war chariots are able to support the main City States battlelines with a selection of two powerful weapon systems. The Flogobolon functions as an excellent deterrent for Enemy Regiments to assault the flanks of your main line whilst unleashing devastating salvos to Enemy Regiments already locked in combat. The Skorpios trades some of the damage output of the Flogobolon for the ability to fire over longer ranges and address a wide variety of threats.

A Raj is typically the ruler of an Enclave. Invariably trained in the Elemental Courts, they have mastered the sorcerer arts, but are not bonded to a Deva. This frees them from the burden of sorcerous pursuit, allowing them to focus on the development of their own prowess and that of their city. Often bridging the gap between the common people and the Elemental Courts, a Raj is well respected by his followers and leads from the front, fighting his foe directly with both steel and sorcery. How they Play: The Raj is a capable warrior and a skilled Spellcaster. Lore The position and role of Shaman once commanded a great deal of respect in Nord society. Before the coming of the Einherjar, they were the only force capable of blunting the worst excesses of the Fimbulwinter and the Jötnar. Their rune castings and mist weavings could, and did, save countless villages from extinction. A Xhiliarch, a commander of a thousand men, was both elected by his troops and trained by Dominion. Only those who had previously reached the rank of Centurion were eligible to become Xhiliarchs, who upon election traveled to Captias to be trained in grammar, arithmetic and logistics, allowing them to become the professional officer corps that the Legions needed to dominate the continent. Their exalted rank invariably meant that they were buried in full honors and ceremony, their embalming process and the interment services much more thorough and complex than that of a simple Legionnaire. As such, when raised as unliving vessels by the unGod they retained their cognitive capacity unlike the Legionnaires who retain but a vestige of their former self. The Paths to Enlightenment are many and varied, but space at the very top is by nature, limited. Yoroni duels are, by nature, highly ritualized affairs. The participants are not merely resolving the quarrel, but establishing who is the more Enlightened, whose Path is superior. Lore: Companion Cavalry are rather an outlier in the City States forces, mainly because they do not, in the strictest sense of the word, belong to the citizen soldiery army of most armies. The Companions are rather a voluntary force drawn from among the wealthy Oligarch and noble families of the City States. Nowhere in the society of the City States is their ambivalent relationship with the Bred more evident than with the Selinoi and Satyroi.
